This is the first image I've worked on for my digital photography class, the word is paradox.

What do you think about the texture? yay, nay?

It's still a work in progress so let me know! Feedback is great!!

I know, I know, "Advanced Critique Encouraged", but I saw this one while I was browsing your gallery and it really caught my eye. The concept behind this one is almost identical with my "Facing Myself" photo. I had no idea this one even existed before then! By the way, I like what you did with this photo; even the negative space takes on an interesting form.

well I encourage advanced critique, but any comments are welcome. Nice ones anyway :D Glad you like it. I did this picture in particular (and on purpose with the negative space. If you google "Rubin's Vase" you'll see what I mean :)

I see you watermark your work. How exactly do you do it? And in case if you were wondering, it looked like you did (c) for a copyright symbol. If you want to know how to do the symbol, you do alt and hold it down the on your number pad do 0169.

You mean the symbol? You just do alt 0169, or copying an image of it works.

And ah, I gotcha. Sweetness. I used to always use a similar color font. haha. I haven`t watermarked in a while.

I don't even know how to do it on deviantART lol. I want to have on like that. I may just take an image of it and copy it.

But as far as actually watermarking, just take your name in a font and lay it over and image and lower the opacity, then just merge it all together. At least that's how I do it in photoshop.

hehe funny you said that because my digital photography class he asked for paradox and at the same time in my psychology class we were studying optical illusions, so I was inspired :D

Yes! you got it mate, the Rubin vase. That's what the pic is based off of. Can you see it, or do you think I should work on it more.

Glad u like the texture, I think I am liking it more now too, only thing tho is like on the side it makes the face look flakey, not like stone or s/thing (even though that wasn't the intent) Does it matter do you think? Sorry for all the questions, I still haven't turned this in so I won't consider it a final piece until then.

woot. nah i think its pretty apparent already. maybe if the faces were slightly closer together it would be more like the classic version.
the texture thing on the side of the face stood out a little bit to me. maybe you can just fade it out towards that area?

OHHH. Now I understand.
For a second I thought it said rubbin like rubbing but spelled ghettoly (without the g, and missing an n). I`m slow today. Or every day. haha.

I like the texture, nicely done. And the lighting is really awesome. I think it fits the paradox. :)
